Feminaid was founded by Seattle high school student, Nathalie M (leftmost), to serve young people in need.

Julie Metzger (second from left):
Julie Metzger, RN MN is a pediatric nurse, writer, and educator. For over 30 years she has worked with families of teens and pre-teens on topics of puberty, sexuality and decision-making. She has shared her program Heart to Heart to tens of thousands of families throughout the Pacific Northwest and San Francisco Bay Area. Julie’s work has been featured in the New York Times and on the TODAY show.
Julie has also written and presented health curriculums on decision-making and friendships for elementary, middle and high school students throughout the Pacific NW and Bay Area including Castilleja School and Lakeside School. Julie brings a wealth of knowledge from her experiences, is a well-respected and popular speaker on a wide range of parenting issues, worked in many capacities as a nurse consultant at Seattle Children’s Hospital and is a parent of 3 young adults.
Julie and her colleague Dr. Rob Lehman are co-founders of Great Conversations – focused on health education for families of preteens. Their book, “Will Puberty Last My Whole Life?” was published in the spring of 2012 and they are currently working on a second edition to be published in 2018. Julie has also written a workbook/journal for preteen girls published in 2014 titled “This is Me – a Journal for Girls”.
Hewan Teshome (second from right):
Hewan Teshome is an attorney and business professional with extensive global experience, helping clients in the US, Africa, and Asia. After earning her BA in Journalism from NYU, Hewan earned a law degree from Stanford University. After working as an Associate in corporate finance with Hogan Lovells in New York City, she spent the next several years advising fledgling companies in emerging markets, particularly Ethiopia. She now works as inside counsel for Seattle-based VICIS, a cause-driven maker of helmets and protective headgear for boys and girls.
Erin Cheuvront (rightmost):
Erin Cheuvront is a Seattle-based community organizer and political professional who has held leadership positions in campaigns for Senator Patty Murray, Mayor Jenny Durkan and other candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. She has a passion for causes that impact women and girls. Erin has an MS in Political Science from Suffolk University and a BA in Political Science from Washington State University.
